PlayStation Plus – February 2021 Games

PlayStation Plus games February 2021

After a great selection of games in January, February’s offering of monthly games for PlayStation Plus members similarly follows suit. From tomorrow (February 2nd), players will be able to pick up action-adventure puzzle game Concrete Genie as well as former Critic’s Choice Award winning game, Control. PlayStation 5 players will be also be able to get their hands on PlayStation exclusive Destruction AllStars as well as a PS5 version of Control.

Destruction AllStars (PS5)

Destruction AllStars is a PlayStation exclusive and its inclusion in February’s PlayStation Plus games coincides with its worldwide release. Destruction AllStars is a “global sports entertainment event where stars & cars collide”. Players assume control of one of 16 AllStars with the goal of creating as much havoc as possible. From the gameplay we have seen so far, Destruction AllStars looks like a cross somewhere between Rocket League and Fortnite, with its own unique mechanics.

Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5 & PS4)

Control is an action-adventure video game, revolving around a secret U.S. government agency tasked with containing and studying phenomena that violate the laws of reality. Similarly to Destruction AllStars, the optimized PS5 version of Control is set to release in conjunction with its inclusion in February’s PlayStation Plus games. Control is a very popular game and has won multiple awards since its release in 2019.

Concrete Genie (PS4)

Concrete Genie is a PlayStation exclusive where players assume control of a young boy who sets out on a quest to recover pages from his stolen notebook. Along this quest, he discovers a paint brush that can bring his creations to life which utilises the DualShock 4’s motion controls. Concrete Genie also includes two additional modes specifically designed for PS VR too at no extra cost.

Overall this is a great month for PlayStation Plus members with a great selection of games to suit different play-styles. I’m really looking forward to Destruction AllStars as this was first announced at the PlayStation 5 reveal event, so I’m hoping it will optimize the DualSense controller and be as to play fun as it looks!

Destruction AllStars is available on PlayStation Plus until Monday, April 5. Control: Ultimate Edition and Concrete Genie are available until Monday, March 1.
