What to watch this weekend: 19th-21st March 2021

The weekend has almost arrived and with the weekend comes a bunch of fresh new releases from all your favourite streaming services! From a selection of new Netflix series to a family friendly comedy starring Robert De Niro, I’ve rounded up a selection of this weekends releases.

Sky Rojo

Sky Rojo is a new Netflix original series Spanish thriller, following three women haunted by their past on a wild run from their pimp and his henchmen. Sky Rojo comes from the same creator as popular series Money Heist and White Lines.

Country Comfort

Another original series coming to Netflix this weekend is Country Comfort, a new comedy sitcom following an aspiring country singer who finds a new lease of life as a nanny. The trailer does look a little cheesy, but it could make for easy watching over the weekend.

Formula One: Drive to Survive Season 3

Season 3 of the ever popular sport docuseries releases Friday and if you’re a Formula 1 fan, you do not want to miss this! Featuring unseen footage and an insight into life on and off the track, season 3 covers the 2020 racing season.

The War with Grandpa

The War With Grandpa is a 2020 American family comedy film and features a star-studded cast of Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, Rob Riggle, Jane Seymour and Christopher Walken. The film follows a grandfather and his grandson as they engage in a prank war and despite its generally poor reviews, it looks like a bit of nonsensical fun.

The Falcon and the Winter Solider

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the latest series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the popular WandaVision which concluded earlier this month. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and will comprise of 6 episodes, released weekly. For everything you need to know before watching, check here
