The weekend has arrived and surprisingly, it’s slim pickings this weekend for hot new releases. Despite the lack of new content, I’ve picked out a few new additions worth giving a watch this weekend.
Thunder Force
Thunder Force is a superhero comedy following two childhood friends who reunite as an unlikely crime-fighting superhero duo. A Netflix original film, Thunder Force stars both Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer and looks like a fun watch!
Where to watch: Netflix (releases April 9th)
Criminal Minds
On April 9th, all 15 seasons of the hit crime drama television series Criminal Minds arrive on Disney+. The show arrives at a great time too, with a revival series just having recently been announced.

Palm Springs
Palm Springs is a science-fiction come rom-com starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti. The movie follows two wedding guests stuck in a time loop as they live the same day over and over again all whilst developing a budding romance. The film was released last year in the US and has had great initial reviews.

We Children from Bahnhof Zoo
An Amazon original series, We Children from Bahnhof Zoo is a dramatization of Christiane F.’s memoirs and her hard beginnings in Berlin. The series is in German and is reported as being a provocative coming-of-age drama.

Them
Another Amazon original series, Them is an American horror drama set during the 1950s following a Black family who move to an all-white Los Angeles neighbourhood, during the period known as The Great Migration. The trailer looks absolutely terrifying but if you’re a fan of the horror genre, this could be your next big series to binge!
