There are a host of fresh new releases arriving to our favourite streaming services this weekend! I’ve picked out some of the highlights including a political action thriller set in Greece, as well as an action based time loop film starring Frank Grillo!
The Kissing Booth 3
The third and final instalment of The Kissing Booth trilogy arrives to Netflix this week! Despite the first two films not exactly being a hit amongst critics, the series certainly has a huge following! The third film follows Elle in her final summer before college whilst she juggles planning the ultimate bucket list, in addition to what comes next with Noah and Lee.

Starring John David Washington, Boyd Holbrook, Vicky Krieps and Alicia Vikander, Bekett follows an American tourist vacationing in Greece who becomes the target of a manhunt and must reach the U.S. embassy to clear his name. John David Washington is one of my favourite ‘on the rise’ actors at the moment and the trailer for Beckett looks it could just be one of his best performances to date!

What If…? is the fourth Marvel television series to release on Disney+ this year and Marvel Studios’ very first animated series. The premise of the show is unlike anything we’ve seen before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; it explores alternate timelines in the multiverse that show what would happen if major moments within the MCU occurred differently. The first episode aired earlier this week and you can check out my first thoughts on it here.

It seems we’ve had an abundance of time loop films over the past 12 months and Boss Level is no different! That being said, unlike the majority of time loop films I’ve watched lately which generally focus on a time loop relationship between two people (think Palm Springs and The Map of Tiny Perfect Things), Boss Level follows a retired special forces soldier who tries to escape a never-ending time loop that results in his death. The film stars Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, Naomi Watts and Michelle Yeoh and the trailer looks great!
